The Document Checklist to Prepare Before You Apply Abroad
6 July 2026 · 4 min read
Whatever the destination, a little preparation makes every documentation request smoother. This is a general starting checklist — always adapt it to the exact requirements of the body you are applying to.
Have these ready
All your semester or year marks cards. Your degree certificate or provisional degree certificate. A valid passport (preferred for overseas use). Any evaluator or regulator reference number. And a clear note of exactly what the receiving body requires and where it must be sent.
Check consistency
Confirm your name, registration number and date of birth read consistently across every document and match your passport. Fix genuine errors through the university before applying.
Keep records
Save copies of everything you submit, every payment reference and every tracking number. If you need to follow up, these turn a stressful chase into a quick lookup.
Not sure which document you actually need?
Start with the guides, or reach out and describe your situation. We will help you understand the process — the university remains the issuing authority for all official documents.
